Digital Citizenship

Digital Citizenship is partnership between the parent and the school. Conversations happen at school about responsible online behavior and parents are encouraged to have conversations at home about expectations for appropriate digital behavior. Topics such as fair use and copyright, keeping personal information safe, use of reliable websites and appropriate online behavior are integrated into all content areas in the classroom.

Parent resources are available at CommonSenseMedia or StaySafeOnline.  There’s a collection of videos on “The Teaching Channel” that are fantastic as well.

Additionally, there’s a post from Edutopia from a few year ago with some additional resources for parents and teachers.
